ZAKOPANE – On the last day of the 1st WUC Speed Skating in Poland, Artur Nogal wins a fifth gold medal for host Poland. He got the gold in the men’s 500 m. Silver for Maciej Biega (POL) and bronze for Even Johansen (NOR). Kseniya Sadouskaya (BLR) won the Women’s 500m. Second place went to Luiza Złotkowska (POL) and third to Rikke Jeppson (NOR). The inaugural WUC in Zakopane ended with the team pursuits. In the women’s race host Poland won. Second was Kazakhstan and third Norway. In the men’s race Norway clocked first, followed by Poland and third Kazakhstan.
