IDUS 2017 Celebration in Switzerland

SWITZERLAND – Like in many other countries, #IDUS2017 was also celebrated in many Swiss Universities. The University Sports Organisations of Lucerne, Lausanne, Zurich, Bern and St. Gallen organised special activities for their students and University society, but also for the general public. Under the motto «Bougeons notre campus» (Move our Campus) the University Sport Organisation of Lausanne offers different activities on the Campus UNIL – EPFL from September 2017 till January 2018 such as special Welcome Days, CampuSessions and Health days.

 

 

 

Team rowing and spinning classes were offered in Lucerne, Host of the 2021 Winter Universiade in order to pay special attention to IDUS. The University of Berne hosted a friendly get-together between exchange students from China, employees of the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland with students from Berne University. They played three different team sports without a final ranking. The ASVZ, with more than 60,000 students the biggest University Sport Organisation in Switzerland, also offers special Welcome Days to their students with lots of sport activities. St. Gallen University, also Headquarters of the Swiss University Sport Federation, invited the University Community to practise Yoga in the main hall of the University, to try Lacrosse and to win prizes at a Basketball shooting contest.
