BRUSSELS – Today, 6 March, Jean-François Sautereau, the President of the French University Sports Federation (FFSU) has made a formal visit to the headquarters of the International Foundation for the Development of University Sport (FIDSU) in Brussels.

After meeting FISU Secretary-General/CEO Eric Saintrond at the FISU headquarters in Lausanne on 3 March, Mr Sautereau met with FISU and FIDSU President Claude-Louis Gallien at the FIDSU HQ. Mr. Sautereau was accompanied by FFSU General Director Vincent Rognon.

This meeting was important for strengthening bilateral relations that FIDSU intends to develop with all National University Sports Federations (NUSF). Indeed, FFSU is one of the dynamic FISU member associations since it has hosted many World University Championships in the past and continues to do so with rowing to be held in Gravelines later this year, while in 2016, it will host the WUC Golf in Brive-La-Gaillarde.

The FFSU plans to be more involved in the special events that FISU is currently developing as well. In fact it is a joint project that President Sautereau came to promote to President Gallien. The latter welcomed the enthusiasm of the FFSU for the FISU events. He warmly thanked the President for his visit and assured him of the support of the FIDSU and FISU in his future endeavors.
