More Medals for Former Universiade Participants

Two German athletes and former Universiade participants won a medal at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in vancouver, Canada.

Michael Neumayer reached the 4th place in ski-jumping (large hill) competition at the 2005 Winter Universiade in Innsbruck. In Vancouver he won the silver medal with the ski-jumping team.

Kerstin Szymkowiak (maiden name Jürgens) took part in the Skeleton-Competition at the 2005 Winter Universiade in Innsbruck and won the bronze medal. In Vancouver she won the silver medal in the Olympic Skeleton Ladies Single Competition.

Amy William (GBR) who took gold in Vancouver won silver in the Skeleton-Competition at the 2005 Winter Universiade in Innsbruck. – C. Pierre, FISU Press Officer
