KAZAN – An extended session was held today at the office of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate. The purpose of the session was to sum up trips of the Kazan 2013 Organizing Committee to the 25th Winter Universiade in Erzurum and the 7th Asian Winter Games in Kazakhstan.
Apart from the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate officials with Director General Vladimir Leonov at the head, the session saw attendance of Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of Tatarstan Khalil Shaikhutdinov, Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Construction of Tatarstan Azat Galiakhmetov, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Minister of Interior of Tatarstan Fyargat Mukhametzyanov, Deputy Chairman of the Physical Culture and Sports Committee of the Kazan Executive Committee Sergey Ozerov.
A few video presentations were delivered and reports were read by heads of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate Departments. The speakers presented a detailed analysis of the 2011 Winter Universiade, advantages and disadvantages of the University Games in Erzurum. The sitters learned about peculiarities of the Universiade Village’s management, accreditation system, catering, security and medical services.
Head of the Department of Culture of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate Arkady Karbaev gave a thorough report on their delegation’s visit to Astana. He told about the Cultural Asiade, Torch Relay and Opening Ceremony of the Asian Games.
