Student Committee members urged to be actively involved with IDUS and FISU Ambassadors

FISU 11 June 2020

As the FISU Student Committee (CdE) for the 2019-2023 term held its second meeting, the members were urged to take active part in FISU projects like the FISU Student Ambassadors programme and the International Day of University Sport (IDUS).

FISU Development & NUSF Relations Manager Tarmo Jaakson made a presentation about IDUS to get the CdE members involved closely on this year’s plans, while Albina Rakhmatullina presented similar ideas for the Student Ambassadors programme.

“It was a very productive meeting, all members had the chance to express their thoughts and views,” said CdE member Mercy Lakisa. I really felt part of the meeting and felt like I contributed.”

Ellis Clark said, “I’m really looking forward to building upon today’s discussion, and continuing to listen to and challenge each other in order to fulfil our aim of improving student sport for the masses.”

The agenda of the meeting also included the latest updates on preparations for the FISU Forum, which will now be held online from 12-14 August 2020 as well as reports from other Committees to which the CdE members are assigned.

The CdE objectives for the 2020-2023 term were further developed as were the concepts for CdE activities proposed by the members.
