Healthy Campus discussed further at Swiss University Sports Foundation

ZURICH – FISU’s far-reaching Healthy Campus project was presented to the members of the Swiss University Sports Foundation (SUSF) in Zurich.

 

SUSF President Leonz Eder, FISU Healthy Campus Director Fernando Parente and SUSF Vice President Dr Hans BodmerThe President of SUSF Leonz Eder, and Vice President Hans Bodmer, who is also Chairman of the FISU Legal Committee, invited Fernando Parente, FISU Director for Healthy Campus and University Relations to its autumn meeting in Zurich to present this project.

 

The members of the SUSF were very interested in the project and its potential to reach deep into the international university community. SUSF also stressed on the fact that in Switzerland and many other Western European Countries, several universities already have some similar programs. According to Fernando Parente, the very idea of Healthy Campus is to bring all these diverse programmes in universities across the world onto one platform.

 

“I was very happy with the observations and even some difficult questions put to me by the members of the SUSF,” said Parente. “With these kinds of inputs, we can develop our project even further.”

 

The Board of the SUSF also discussed the ongoing progress of the Lucerne 2021 Winter Universiade, evaluated the sponsorship situation in Swiss University Sports, and discussed updates to the Dual Career programmes at Swiss Universities.

 

Among the SUSF members, Prof. Dr. Sarah Springman, Rector of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) and host of the meeting, and Dr. Rolf Dörig, Chairman of Adecco Group and Swiss Life, continued to pledge their full support to the Swiss University Sports Foundation.
