FISU Technical Chair for Futsal & Football John Warnock made an inspection visit in Novi Sad, Serbia, host city of the 12th World University Futsal Championship which will take place from August 23rd to 30th, 2010.
It will be the first time this WUC will stage the men’s and women’s tournament at the same time and place. The WUC will be open to 16 teams for each tournament.
Mr. Warnock visited four venues which the Organising Committee proposes for the event and the FISU Futsal Chief was very satisfied with the quality of the facilities.
Mr. Warnock also had a work meeting with OC members Zoran Delic, Dinko Vrsnjevac and Kozic Drazenko. FISU EC member Mr. Sinisa Jasnic was present at the meeting as well since the WUC is organized in his home town.
The restaurant that will cater the student-athletes lies within 500 m of the lodgings and solely 50 m from the competitions venues. Transportation will nevertheless be provided by the OC. The athletes will be lodged in the new C building of the University.
