KAZAN – Tonight, September 22nd, FISU celebrated its Gala Night in Kazan to honour a number of personalities and organizations who contributed to the popularity of the International University Sport Movement. For the future hosts of the Universiades it was an opportunity to showcase their city.

During a spectacular show at the Cultural Complex ‘Pyramid’ in Kazan the following awards were attributed:

BEST MEDIA PARTNER – EUROSPORT
BEST COMMERCIAL PARTNER – GERFLOR
FISU PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR – RUSTAM MINNIKHANOV
BEST FEMALE ATHLETE – JUSTYNA KOWALCZYK
BEST MALE ATHLETE – NELSON EVORA
