He highlighted the jobs done by AUSF Secretariat since last EC meeting, including the AUSF-ASEAN Collaborative meeting, AUSF Projects in 2011 and 2012, etc. By talking about the AUSF projects in 2012, it was happy to see that both Thailand and Korea had the intention to host 3rd Asian University Taekwondo Championship. It would be the first bidding for AUSF championships, which was quite encouraging. One more encouraging thing was that AUSF got its first donation from 3 Korea companies, including MBC Mediatech Co. Besides those reports, the Session I mainly focused on the 3 working groups, headed by Mr. AL HAI Omar, Mr. CHEN Kunning and Mr. CHANG Hosung respectively, in charge of the Organizational Development Plan, the Strategic Plan and the Bi-annual Plan. The Strategic Plan should be finished by the end of this year and reported to the EC members during next EC meeting to be held in Thailand this Dec., which will direct the development of AUSF in next 5 – 6 years.

In the afternoon, all the EC members were invited to the Opening Ceremony of 2nd Asian University Taekwondo Championship. AUSF President ZHANG Xinsheng made a speech and Mr. ZAKIRYANOV Kairat, as the highest local authority present, declared the championship open.
