Organising Committee all set up for the FISU World Forum 2020

The Organizing Committee for the 15th FISU World Forum to be held in Budapest from 12-16 August 2020, has been set up at the Hungarian University of Physical Education, which will host the event.

BUDAPEST – A major step has been taken towards a successful 15th edition of the FISU World Forum, with the setting up of an organising committee at the University of Physical Education (UPE) in Budapest. The organising committee (OC), consisting of ten members, will be led by Dániel Mezei, Head of PR and Marketing at UPE.

The newly set up OC met with the Hungarian University Sports Federation (HUSF), spearheaded by HUSF Secretary General Dr. Mózes Székely. Dr. Székely is also a member of the Advisory Board of the organising committee. The most important tasks and functional areas were identified, along with the persons responsible for each.

 

The FISU World Forum 2020 was awarded to the University of Physical Education, Budapest (UPE) and the Hungarian University Sports Federation (HUSF) in March 2018. The is one of the main centres in Hungary for sports and sport science.

 

Held every second year since 1992, the FISU World Forum is one of the most significant educational events on the international university sports calendar.

 

Until now, a total of 140 participants from 42 countries have registered for the 2020 edition. This figure is expected to rise to more than 300 by 12 July, when the registration for the event will close.
