Applications open for Dream Together Masters scholarship 2021

LAUSANNE – In keeping with its philosophy of education through sport, FISU once again announces a prestigious scholarship opportunity for university athletes around the world. Applications to the Dream Together scholarship at the Seoul National University, Korea, are now open for the academic year starting September 2021.

 

Florence Nakimuli of Uganda, recipient of the Dream Together Master scholarship 2020The Dream Together Master is a full scholarship graduate programme funded by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO).

 

It is a unique opportunity to hone sports management skills in a multicultural environment and every year, FISU presents candidates for this scholarship.

 

Last year, FISU proposed candidates Florence Nakimuli of Uganda and Enkhnaran Jargalsaikhan from Mongolia were selected for the 2020 Dream Together Master Programme.

 

“I’m blessed to be selected for this programme,” a delighted Florence Nakimuli had said then. “This programme will give me knowledge of global sports management and I will use this golden opportunity to develop university sports not only in Uganda, but globally.”

Enkhnaran Jargalsaikhan had said that the news of having being selected was the “happiest moment” of her life. “I believe that my next two years will be intense and productive,” she said.

 

Candidates for the 2021-2023 Programme are invited to submit their application by Sunday, 28 February at the latest. FISU invites its member National University Sports Federations (NUSFs) to present candidates for this scholarship.

 

All student application forms must be sent to the FISU Education Department at education@fisu.net, with ‘DTM Scholarship 2021’ mentioned in the mail subject.

 

Please note that NUSF-nominated candidates must also send hard copies of their documents to Seoul, Korea by 19 March 2021, at the address mentioned in the 2021 Admission Guide.

 

As minimum requirements the candidates must be of non-Korean nationality (neither parent) and from a country recognised in the List of Official Development Aid. 

 

The candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or higher education diploma and have sufficient English language ability (Upper-Intermediate level) to take classes conducted entirely in English.

Achievements in sport, education and social activity are always highly valued – especially at FISU events – and preference will be given to competitive athletes as well as to applicants that are interested on writing a thesis related to the University Sports Movement.

 

Only applications that include all the requested documents, received within the official deadline, will be submitted to the evaluation panel.
