FISU President Matytsin invites you to celebrate International Students’ Day

FISU 17 November 2017

The International Students’ Day highlights the value of international education and celebrates those who study outside their country to fulfill their dreams

Dear friends! On 17 November the world celebrates the International Students’ Day. This is a great occasion to remember the importance of university education. University years are a wonderful time, filled with dreams and aspirations. They also lay the path for future life success, help us to make new friends, give us essential knowledge and provide a chance for new experiences.

Sport is one of these important experiences. Being part of the educational process, sport is an opportunity to acquire the skills and qualities needed for strong and responsible leadership in any sphere, be it politics, economics, community life etc.

At FISU, we always place students at the heart of our thinking and action, creating opportunities for young athletes to compete at the highest standard of competition. I sincerely hope that today you will celebrate the International Students’ Day by practicing some kind of sport activity with your friends at your campus!

On behalf of the international university sports movement let me extend my congratulations and best wishes to the world’s student and academic community, and I wish you a great day on 17 November!
