Organised by FISU America, the University Sports Federation of Peru (FEDUP) and hosted by the San Ignacio de Loyola University (USIL), the 4th FISU America 3×3 Basketball Lima 2022 will qualify the women’s and men’s winner to compete in Istanbul in October of 2022. Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico, and Peru are the eight countries from across the Americas that have sent university teams.

I would like to thank in a deeper way all the teams of the organising committee that have been together with the federation and USIL," he said.

FISU University World Cups have athletes compete for their universities, as opposed to for their countries as is seen at FISU Games and FISU World University Championships. Over 100 athletes are at the Pachacamac Sports Centre in Lima with semi-finals and finals taking place on Thursday 21 July. The 2022 FISU World Cup 3x3 Basketball takes place in Istanbul 27-29 October with 12 teams of each gender competing.
