The FISU Gender Equality Round Table

The FISU Gender Equality Round Table

Given that its activities focus on university sport through the organisation of Universiades, World University Championships and educational events for student-athletes aged between 17 and 25, FISU considers that gender equality is a subject of major importance to the young women and men who will become tomorrow's leaders.

Those considerations gave birth to the first FISU Gender Equality Round Table, organised in 2011 during the Summer Universiade in Shenzhen, People's Republic of China, with the clear objective to provide a place for open discussion on the subject of gender equality with personalities playing a strategic role in their respective federations.

The FISU Gender Equality Round Table is held every two years during the Summer Universiade. It is organised in the Athletes’ Village and is open to all Summer Universiade participants.
