13th WUC Chess – Day 3 of Competitions

KATOWICE – Another competition day of the 13th WUC Chess has passed. Situation in both groups has started to clarify and the first favorites to win the competition are emerging. So far only one player, Klaudia Kulon from Poland, has won all the possible games in the women’s tournament.

In men’s tournament Yu Ruiyuan from China leads.  He has already scored 4 points. The same amount of points accumulated by Russian, Czech and Armenian players.

At women’s championships yesterday’s leader, Polish player Klaudia Kulon, won another two games and currently she has 1 point more than the second player Anna Gasik also from Poland. On Wednesday, Klaudia has beaten Munguntuul Batkhuyag (MGL) in the first round while in afternoon’s game she has defeated Russian representative Lidia Tomnikova. Yesterday the players had a day off.
