Today, October 20th, most accreditations took place for the 2006 World University Bridge Championship in Tianjin, China. Most delegations arrived today at the Tianjin Normal University. CIC member Mr. Tom Lapuma (USA) controlled and accredited 20 delegations today. 

At 15h00 the CISCA meting took place, chaired by FISU Assessor Kemal Tamer (TUR), and assisted by Tom Lapuma (USA), CIC member, Geert Magerman (BEL), FISU Technical Chairman for Bridge, Harry Van Peppel, WBF delegate and Laurent Briel (BEL) FISU Director for Championships. The OC delegates present were Mr. Wang Guilin, President of the Bridge Association of FUSC, Mr. David CCNG, Chief Tournament Director, M. Jin Zilou, Mr. Tian Xin FUSC representative Zhao Jing. 

During this meeting all topics regarding the technical aspects of the WUC were handled. Mr. Geert Magerman explained the Round Robin format of the WUC, which means a very heavy tournament for the participants and the officials.  

At 20h00, the General Technical Meeting took place. During this meeting the OC explained the organisation of the tournament in detail and informed the delegates present about the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Mr. Tamer thanked the delegates present as well as the OC for a job well done preparing this WUC. Mr. Magerman explained the competition format to the heads of delegation.
