CORUM – The excitement of 12th World University Wrestling Championship, which is hosted by Hitit University in Çorum, continues. The fourth day of the championship ended with the FW Style competitions in 53 kg, 58 kg, 63 kg and 75 kg on 28th October 2016.
Milana Dadasheva (RUS), who beat 7 rivals in Style FW 53 kg, became the best in her category beating Samantha Stewart (CAN) for the gold. Lulia Leorda (MDA) shared third place with Aysun Erge (TUR).
In the 58 kg, 5 wrestlers in total fought for the title and Russian wrestler Veronika Chumikova climbed the highest podium. Polish wrestler Jowita Wrzesien became second, Elif Yanik (TUR) became third in the competition.
In (FW) 63 kg, Russian Anzhela Fomenko beat Kriszta-Tunde Incze (ROU) to claim the gold. Veranika Ivanova (BLR) and Jessica Brouillette (CAN) won the bronze.
The fourth day of the competitions ended with the fights in the 75kg category. Justina Di Stasio (CAN) beat Cynthia Vescan (FRA) in the gold medal fight. Bronze went to Buyanjargal Davaatseren (MGL) and Kristina Dudaeva (RUS).
The final ranking of FW Style wrestling competition ended as follows 1. Russia, 2. Canada, 3. Turkey.
