CORUM – On the third day of 12th World University Wrestling Championship, which is hosted by Hitit University in Çorum, the female wrestlers came into action.
In the 48 kg category, Allyssa Cleaves (CAN) got ahead of her 6 rivals and won the gold medal. Polish Anna Lukasıak had to settle for silver and Evin Demirhan (TUR) shared third place with Madina Nadirova (KGZ).
In the 55 kg category, Bediha Gün (TUR) won against her Russian rival Nina Menkenova in the final pocketing the gold. The bronze went to Ramona Galambos (HUN) and Michalak Katarzyna (POL).
In the 60 kg category, Canadian Linda Morias beat Gabriela Sleisz (HUN) while Derya Bayhan (TUR) shared third place with Svetlana Lipatova (RUS).
The third day of the competition ended with the 69 kg category. Turkish wrestler Buse Tosun won the gold medal beating Kseniia Burakova (RUS) with Bolortungalag Zogırt (MGL) settling for the bronze medal.
