Candidates for the 2021 and 2023 Universiades reach final stages

Summer Games 5 December 2017

The application process for the 2021 and 2023 Summer and 2023 Winter Universiades has received strong interest from cities from all around the world. Candidates are finalising their applications and preparing for FISU delegation visits in early 2018.

Hosting a Universiade is a proven way to boost a region’s international sporting profile, generate revenues and perhaps most importantly inspire healthier and smarter choices within local communities

In early March, the candidates will travel to FISU’s new headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, for the awarding of the events. Should you wish to know more about these processes or future ones, don’t hesitate to contact FISU CEO / Secretary General Eric Saintrond at e.saintrond@fisu.net.

University sport is home to fair play: the spirit of a champion; friendship in rivalry; more than victory
