LAUSANNE – The FISU Headquarters in Lausanne staged the draw for the 2nd FISU World University American Football Championship that will be held in Monterrey, Mexico, from 1 to 11 June, 2016. This second edition will include only a male tournament featuring six teams.
The host team and current World University Champion, Mexico, is leading the FISU ranking, followed by Japan who was silver medallist at the 2014 WUC in Uppsala, Sweden. Team China is ranked 3rd having participated at the inaugural edition 2 years ago. The remaining participants, all debutants in the FISU tournament are USA, India and Guatemala.

The Championship kick-off is scheduled for 1 June in the Tec Stadium in Monterrey at 18:00 local time. The 2016 World University Champion will be crowned on 11 June.
