2012 WUC Taekwondo: Day Two concludes Poomsae

Men’s Team 3 Competitors during their performance


POCHEON
 – The World University Taekwondo Championships in Pocheon (Korea) entered its second day of competition and also the final day of Poomsae. The Men’s Team 3 Competitors gold medal went to Korea, the silver medal went to Iran and the bronze medals went to Chinese Taipei and Indonesia. In the Women’s Team 3 Competitors, the gold medal was again won by the home nation of Korea, the silver medal went yet again to Iran and the bronze medals went to Chinese Taipei and Philippines.

Lastly for the Mixed Team Pair the gold medal went to Korea, the silver medal went to Chinese Taipei and the bronze medals went to Mexico and Germany.  The medal awarding ceremonies followed the Poomsae competition with the certainty that all athletes did their best in the Daejin University gym. Korea proved its continued dominance in Poomsae as it had previously won the men’s, women’s and mixed team gold medals in Vigo (Spain) in 2010.

The Kyorugi competition will start tomorrow with the women’s -46kg and -57kg and Men’s -54kg -68kg. 

 

Results Poomsae (May 25)

Men’s Individual: 1st JIN HO LEE (KOR), 2nd ALI NADALINAJAFABADI (IRI), and 3rd GABRIEL VIDAL MARVIN (PHI), CHU SHEUNG LU (TPE).

Woman’s Individual: 1st SU JI KANG (KOR), 2nd MAHSA MARDANI (IRI), and 3rd YING HSIAN LEE (TPE), OLLIN YOLISTLIN MEDINA LOPEZ (MEX).

 

Results Poomsae (May 26)

 Men’s Team 3 Competitors: 1st Korea, 2nd Iran, and 3rd Chinese Taipei, Indonesia.

Women’s Team 3 Competitors: 1st Korea, 2nd Iran, and 3rd Chinese Taipei, Philippines.

Mixed Team Pair: 1st Korea, 2nd Chinese Taipei, and 3rd Mexico, Germany.
