14th World University Golf Championship Officially opened

LIBEREC – Monday the 2nd of July from 8 pm at the sports hall of the Technical University in Liberec the official opening of the 14th World Universtiy Golf Championship took place. Before the eyes of the spectators 21 countries were presented and enrolled to hear the opening speech by Senate Deputy MD. Premysl Sobotka. The University of Liberec welcomed the athletes by prof. Frantisek Dvorak, President of the Czech Association of University Sport, spokesman at the Technical University Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Humanities and Education Assoc. Mgr. Miroslav Brzezina PhD. and FISU delegate Tai-Cheng Chen.

The official part ended with a drum performance by formation Aries. Subsequently, all participants moved to the students S-Club, where they could admire the designers, models and designers during the design department fashion show. The conclusion ceremony of the show procured Preciosa jewelry collection, which also prepared the prizes for the WUC Golf.

Today from 7:00 am started the first of four playing days of the WUC. During which, 147 male and female players from around the world will face off in Liberec Ypsilon Golf Resort. Czech players Teresa Vavruskova and Dominik Pietschmann will be playing on their home course.
