2019 WU: Excursion Programme for All Participants

KRASNOYARSK – The best sightseeing tours around Krasnoyarsk and its vicinity, developed for participants of the forthcoming Games, were chosen in Krasnoyarsk. The Executive Directorate of the 2019 Winter Universiade held a competition among tour operators and excursion programmes developers for this purpose.

 

In total, eight applications were submitted for the competition, including the concepts of future sightseeing tours from travel agencies and heads of excursion projects. Each application submitted for the competition was evaluated by experts in the field of tourism, which took into account the originality and novelty of the idea, as well as the possibility of its further implementation after the Games.  

 

 

The applications submitted by the company ‘IC Dialog’ won in the nominations ‘Sightseeing tours around Krasnoyarsk’ and ‘Sightseeing tours outside of Krasnoyarsk’ Thus, athletes and participants of the Games will be able to visit unique sites of the historic city centre, monuments of architecture and art, such as the merchant’s house of I. Gadalov, Mira Square museum centre, Victory Memorial museum, Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Chapel, museum-estate of V. Surikov.

 

Also, you can see the following famous tourist sites within the framework of sightseeing routes such as: the library-museum of V. Astafiev in Ovsyanka village, the Krasnoyarsk Dam, Uspenskiy historic cultural centre, Divnogorsk sights and other places.   

 

In addition, the eco routes from Burmak and Altamira Company were declared as the winner within the framework of the competition. The excursion includes tours around unique nature monuments such as Stolby Nature Reserve and Karaulnaya cave.

 

 

“The extensive excursion programme awaits all participants of the 2019 Winter Universiade, who will be able to see the main historical places and sights of Krasnoyarsk and get acquainted with its rich history and cultural traditions. Moreover, selected sightseeing routes will become a part of the city tourist programme and allow to reveal the uniqueness of the region for all our guests. I am confident, that the guests will be satisfied not only with the Games, but also get the best impressions from our unique nature, historical legacy,” noted Maxim Urazov, head of the Executive Directorate of the 29th Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk.
