The New Headquarters of FISU on Track

FISU 21 December 2015

LAUSANNE – In late November 2012, the FISU President Claude-Louis Gallien, informed the Canton of Vaud of FISU’s wish to move its headquarters to the campus of the University of Lausanne. Three years later, the purchase of this building which construction will start early January 2016 was formalized by the new President Oleg Matytsin and Secretary General/CEO Eric Saintrond in the presence of both partners, the Canton of Vaud and AISTS (Association Internationale des Sciences et Technique du Sport).

This 4-storey building will be completed towards the end of 2017. The FISU will occupy half of the 3rd floor and the entire fourth including a conference and exhibition hall which will be located on the ground floor. A surface of more than 1600 m² will be available to FISU in this building which will be located at the entrance to the campus of the University of Lausanne and opposite the University Institute of Sports Science. The ‘back to campus’ slogan is more relevant than ever.
