The Main Press Centre (MPC) was officially opened at the New Paris Hotel on January 18 and will serve as the headquarters for registered WU national and international writers and photographers well as the headquarter for Media & Publicity Department of Harbin OC during the games period.
The MPC includes 10 rooms of different sizes and covers a floor space of 1,800 square meters, boasting one of the largest MPCs in the Winter Universiade history. The New Paris Hotel will also be the main Media Hotel for WU.
On the fourth floor of the MPC there is a media work room with a capacity of holding 150 people, and a press conference hall with a capacity of 150 seats. There are 40 computer terminals, 100 internet access and 4 touch-screen comprehensive inquiry systems, as well as other services as telecommunication, digital color print and insurance, etc.. The organising committee will provide photography services and work room rental services for an agreed cost.
