Mongolia holds national dialogue on IDUS

ULAANBAATAR – On the occasion of the International Day of University Sport, the Mongolian Student Sports Federation /MSSF/ successfully organizedthe National Strategic Dialogue: “Problems facing Mongolian student sports and ways to solve them” at the Teacher’s Development Center of the Mongolian National University of Education.

 

Over 110 students and faculty staff from 20 universitiesgot engaged for the dialogue while some officials such as Mrs. Yanjmaa O. officer for Ministry of Education, Culture,Science and Sports Mongolia, Mr. Batsaikhan Kh. Vice President of MSSF and Member of Education Committee of FISU, Mrs. Gerelmaa S. Head of the Prevention Departmentin the National Center for Public Health, and BoardMembers of MSSF Mr. Tserensodnom L., Mrs. Gundegmaa L., Mrs. Enkhtuya S. and Erdenepurev L.attended as speakers in this significant event.

 

In terms of the dialogue, following crucial issueswere discussed: activities of the MSSF and organizing plan of Universiade 2019, the state of physical education in Mongolian universities and their further implementation policies, the current state of health for Mongolian students, the issues of training specialists in physical culture and sports in universities of physical education, physical education program at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, the development of university sport in the National University of Mongolia, the researches of  the physical development of students participating in the “Student-Soldier” program and the physical education program at the Mongolian University of science and technology. Therefore, MSSF pointed out the opportunities of volunteer students, significance of volunteering, and growth of volunteerism in the scope of university sport in Mongolia during the IDUS 2018.

 

At the end of the dialogue, many ideas, comments, and conclusions were combined, which will be added inpolicies and action plans of the MSSFin the future.
