FISU Director of Education visits Pukhet School

On January 23rd, Kolë Gjeloshaj FISU Director for Educational Services and Development, Chief of Staff to the President together with Mrs. Nangnoi Pupatanakul, Inspector Principal at the Ministry of Education and Ms. Paweena Saengsang, secretary of the National University Sport Federation of Thailand (USBT) paid a visit to Kho Sirae School in Phuket. This school received a contribution from FISU in the context of post-Tsunami reconstruction.

With the FISU funds one of the two main buildings of the school was rebuilt and dedicated partially to sport activities, not only for the kids of the school but also for the community of that neighborhood of Phuket.

In January 2006, the entire Executive Committee lead by its President George E. Killian had the opportunity to visit the school in order to better understand its needs. The construction started in 2006 and ended in 2007.

The school has 980 pupils from the kindergarten to mid secondary level. In 2010, the school is celebrating its 75th anniversary.
