DAKAR – From 1 to 7 April 2013 in Dakar, the Union of School and University Sports Associations (UASSU) will hold the fifth edition of the National University Championships, under the auspices of the Ministry for Sports, the Ministry for Higher Education and Research, and the Ministry for Professional Training, Apprenticeship and Craftsmanship.
This important event of the Senegalese sports calendar is expected to gather some 1,000 participants representing the various universities and higher education institutions of Dakar, Thiès, Bambey, Saint-Louis and Ziguinchor.
The disciplines featured the programme are the following: football, basketball, handball, beach volleyball, judo, athletics, traditional wrestling, karate, taekwondo and Scrabble.
