On December 3rd, 2009, Mr XU Ningsheng, Vice President of Sun Yat-sen University met Mr. Claude Louis Gallien, FISU First Vice-President in Guangzhou, Guangdong, Provice of China. Mr XU and Mr. Gallien had a talk on sports education and university sports.
On the afternoon of December 3rd, Mr. Gallien gave a speech at Sun Yat-sen University on “Global Society, Ethics, Higher Education and Sports”.
On the evening of December 3rd, Mr Gallien met with Mr XU Deli, Vice President of the Executive Board of the Organizing Committee for the 26th Summer Universiade in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province of China. Mr. LI Xiaolu, in charge of Education Department of Guangdong Province of China, and other officials from Guangdong provincial government also attended the meeting.
In the meeting, Mr Gallien and Mr XU exchanged views on the preparation for the 26th Summer Universiade, and Mr. XU Deli expressed Guangdong provincial government’s support for this Universiade.
