NICE – After three days of competition, we begin to clearly see which are the strongest crews present at this 6th World University Match Racing Championship.
In the women’s competition, both Brazilian crews continue to dominate the competition and occupy at present the first two places at the end of the first round-robin. Switzerland and France follow in 3 and 4th place. The round-robin return began yesterday afternoon and will continue on Friday morning.
In the men’s competition, both groups delivered their verdict for the qualification to the quarter-finals. In Group A are qualified in order of ranking: Great Britain 2, Denmark, Germany and Slovenia; in Group B: Australia 2, Australia 1, Great Britain 1, and Singapore. 12 matches will decide which crews will sail towards the semi-finals.
