BRAZIL – The Brazilian Futsal National Team player Amanda Lyssa de Oliveira Crisostomo, known as Amandinha, was elected the best futsal female player in the world for the third consecutive year. The election was promoted by the Futsal Planet Award.

Amanda Lyssa was part of the Brazilian University National Team that took the gold medal at the 15th World University Futsal Championship, held last year in Brazil. In 2014, in Spain, Amandinha represented Brazil for the first time, when the country was crowned champion for the fourth time.

For the physiotherapy student, winning this title represents acknowledgment of the work she did, which she started professionally when she was 16 years old. “I’m proud of my family, my team and my country. I’ve always wanted to be a mirror to other girls.” In addition to the international competition, the athlete also defends her University in several competitions of the national university sports calendar, such as the University Sports Leagues and the Brazilian University Games (JUBs).

Amandinha also won titles in FIFA World Cups with the Brazilian National Futsal team and National Leagues. In the Futsal FIFA World Cup in 2014, she was chosen the best player. Her goal, against Portugal, secured the gold medal for Brazil. In 2015, in the final of the world tournament, against Russia, she scored two of the three goals of the match. Alongside the Women’s Team, Amandinha is a five-time World Champion.
