1st PNG University Student to attain FIFA Referee Certificate

PORT MORESBY The Papua New Guinea University Sports Association and OUSA inform that for the first time a university student has obtained the International FIFA Assistant Referee Certificate which enables him to referee any soccer championships in the world. Norman Bafinu is a third year business studies in management student at Papua New Guinea University of Technology.

‘This is a boost to our student-athletes at various sporting codes level for the sports development in the Oceania Region and in particular Papua New Guinea’, Molly Geno-Perry, President PNGUSA said.

Next month (27-29 May 2013), Norman Bafinu will be present at the International University Sports Workshop in Port Moresby at the Waigani campus of the University of Papua New Guinea where he will meet the National Sports Minister during the workshop.
