The Steering Committee Meeting of the Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC) took place on April 24th, 2010 in Haikou city, Hainan province of China. FISU Vice-President of FISU, President of Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF), and President of FUSC Mr.ZHANG Xinsheng chaired the meeting. Vice-President and Secretary-General of FUSC Mr.YANG Liguo as well as chairmen from sub-commissions and education committee of 31 provinces, the representatives from 2011 Shenzhen Summer Universiade also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, President ZHANG emphasized the importance of Scientific, Fair Play, Physical Education and establishing Healthy First as a guideline. Through participating in and hosting international sport events, FUSC is playing an important role inthe leader of tomorrow. Sport is of great importance in the development of a knowledge society and for the global cooperation.
Mr. YANG Liguo submitted the 2009 Annual Report of FUSC to the Steering Committee and presented the preparatory progress about the preparation of the 2012 China National University Games to be held in the city of Tianjin, China. Party member of the Shenzhen Municipality, Chairman of the 26th Shenzhen Summer Universiade Executive Bureau, Mr.LIANG Daoxing introduced the general preparation work of the 2011 Summer Universiade.
