Sport Court and FISU seal Flooring Agreement

FISU 13 November 2015

LAUSANNE FISU, the International University Sports Federation, and Sport Court, a sister company of the Gerflor Group, leader in sports flooring worldwide, have sealed an agreement to develop the 3X3 Basketball discipline through FISU’s 3X3 Basketball World University League and World University Championships until December 2018.

With this partnership, Sport Court, partner of FIBA 3X3, becomes the Official Supplier of flooring solutions for all FISU 3X3 events, including up to 7 stages per year of the World University League opposing top international university teams (men and women) and 2 World University Championships (2016 & 2018) for the next 3 years.

FISU Secretary General/CEO Eric Saintrond: “We are delighted that a global leader in sports flooring supports FISU 3X3 events since day one. Being FIBA 3X3 partner and part of the Gerflor Group (a FISU partner), we are confident that Sport Court’s high-end flooring solutions will provide the best platform for our student-athletes.”

The 1st 3X3 Basketball World University League was played on Sport Court

Sport Court International Vice-President Andrew Gettig: “Sport Court is thrilled to cooperate with FISU on its 3X3 Basketball World University League and World University Championships. As 3X3 Basketball spreads around the world, with good prospects of inclusion in the 2020 Summer Olympic Games, FISU is on the leading edge of this sport. Our cooperation will ensure that Sport Court PowerGame, the same top court used in the Youth Olympic Games, FIBA World Tour, World Championships and Youth World Championships, will be the playing surface for all FISU 3X3 events. This new relationship will create opportunities for university students to maintain sport and a healthy lifestyle through their university careers, and we are proud to be working together with FISU.”
