FISU 20 April 2016

STOCKHOLM – Arnaud RICHARD, member of the Gender Equality Committee of FISU participated in the meeting of the BIS Working Group (Balance In Sport) of the Council of Europe which took place from 10 to 11 April, 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden.
Involving twenty European representatives, the programme aims to promote gender equality in sport. To achieve this, the partners have focused on five themes:
– leadership;
– coaching;
– stereotypes in the media;
– gender-based violence;
– participation.

Examples of good practice have been exchanged and the outlook is promising.
Alongside the International Olympic Committee (IOC), FISU is the only international sports federation directly involved in this project.
