EUSA Convention 2014

LJUBLJANA – The 2014 EUSA Convention was held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, between 13 and 16 November. Over 70 participants of the Convention – organisers of the European Universities Championships 2015, European Universities Games 2014 and 2016, Technical Commission and Medical Commission members, EUSA Office and invited guests, were greeted by the Rector of the University of Ljubljana prof. dr. Ivan Svetlik and EUSA President Adam Roczek. After the general presentations and welcome speeches, the participants were able to view and explore the EUSA exhibition, a traveling exhibition on university sport. The exhibition, supported by FISU, illustrates the history of EUSA and university sport in Europe. The importance of the European Universities Games and the support of the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme was highlighted with presentations of the OCs of the EUSA Games 2014 in Rotterdam and 2016 in Zagreb-Rijeka.

The EUSA Convention continued on Saturday, November 15, with a full day agenda, with the aim to develop closer cooperation and enable best conditions for the participants of EUSA sporting events.
