CDSU Work Meeting

FISU 27 February 2013

Alison Odell & Stefan Bergh

STOCKHOLM – This weekend, at the invitation of CDSU Chair and FISU Vice-President Stefan Bergh, a CDSU work meeting was set up. The meeting was held in Stockholm in the presence of Alison Odell, Assessor and first Vice-Chair of the CDSU, and Laurent Briel, FISU Director of Development and Special Projects.

This meeting was to prepare the report of the CDSU to the FISU Executive Committee meeting to be held in early March. The meeting also aimed to finalise the strategic plan for the continental federations and the establishment of the administrative procedure.

The meeting was also an opportunity to reflect on a number of other issues such as the aid programme for countries of the Universiade in Kazan, but also the membership situation. At the meeting some issues that we have with certain NUSFs were analysed as well.

The meeting also enabled to finalise the minutes of the last working meeting between FISU, WADA and the Gwangju OC in the “legacy programme” that the Organising Committee of the 2015 Universiade is putting in place.

One last point was also discussed, i.e. the questionnaire that FISU introduced to better understand the needs of its NUSFs and which will be officially launched in the coming days.

Finally, the programme and dates of the next CDSU meeting were discussed.
