FISU HEADQUARTERS - LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND

Maison du Sport International
In 2011 FISU re-located its Headquarters to Lausanne, Switzerland. FISU occupies a floor in the 4th building at the ‘Maison du Sport International’-complex where our organization is near the IOC and the many International Sport Federations it has excellent working ties with. Indeed, with some 50 sports on the FISU Sports Program, this is quite convenient.
Strategically positioned on the Avenue de Rhodanie, by the shores ofLake Geneva, the Maison du Sport International, includes a reception building and four office blocks, forming a modern, welcoming and functional complex in a prime location. Apart from the office space, the building provides conference rooms, a cafeteria and a gym. This new infrastructure constitutes a remarkable opportunity for FISU, allowing us to work together, cultivate contacts, share experience and exploit synergies.
Strategic Location
In a green area along the banks of Lake Geneva, from the IOC headquarters to the Olympic Museum
* 2 minutes from the A1 motorway exit Lausanne south – Maladière
* 10 minutes from the city centre and the railway station
* 30 minutes from Geneva International Airport, by motorway
In close proximity:
* to the International Olympic Committee
* to the Lausanne public transport system
* to the Vidy sports complex (tennis, rowing, football, swimming, running)
FISU 'CHÂTEAU LA SOLITUDE ' - BRUSSELS, BELGIUM

Since 2006, the Brussels Office of FISU is located in the ‘Château de la Solitude’ in Auderghem. The Solitude Manor is located in Auderghem, one of the municipal districts in the Brussels capital region, on three hectares of grounds bordering the Soignes Forest. It was constructed in 1912 by the French architect François Malfait for Duchess Marie-Ludmille de Croy in French neoclassical style. Ownership of the manor was transferred to theBelgianStatein the 1950s and thereafter to the French Community of Belgium, to be used as a school for children of migrant workers and bargemen. As the French Community was not authorized to restore this type of building, it sold the manor to the Solibel Company in 1998. The company initially intended to restore the manor respecting its original architecture, so, with the approval of all the necessary authorities, Solibel decided to use the manor for offices in order to maintain the original volumes and the aesthetics insofar as possible both inside and outside.
After a year of restoration work done jointly by Solibel, DB Associates and the Architecture Workshop of Genval, this unique venue recovered its former spirit and its splendor in January 2002. Specialized craftsmen (to restore the facades, the woodwork, the moldings and the ironwork) were engaged to recover the building's original beauty. FISU has gained the privilege of setting up its Brussels Office in this magnificent building. This building in a classical style boasts every modern comfort needed for a secretariat like ours. When it was restored, everything was carefully thought out to facilitate its use by the people who will have the pleasure of working there.
