Flood Postponed 1st Edition
Due to the heavy rainfall prior to the Championship, the area of the shooting range was totally flooded. The 1st World University Sport Shooting Championship 2002 was intended to be held in Pilsen-Lobzy from September 4th to 7th, 2002. The whole district of the Shooting-range is situated nearby a river and was flooded by high water (up to 150-200cm) on August 13th, 2002. All of the equipment was damaged and in consequence with the above mentioned circumstances and the impracticability to displace the Championship to another location, the WUCOC saw no other possibility than to cancel it.
