FISU-FIS Meeting
May 23rd, 2008

FISU visited FIS Headquarters in Oberhofen
In its very nice surroundings of Bernese Alps (Niesen Mountain and Stockhornkette) in the small town of Oberhofen, Milan Augustin, Director of Winter Universiade, and Roger Roth, CTI Chair, visited the FIS Headquarters and had a very fruitful discussion with Joseph T. Fitzgerald, FIS Freestyle Coordinator, and Marcel Looze, FIS Snowboard Race Director. The main points of the discussion were the overall organization of these mentioned competitions. Many significant issues were pointed out such as the timing & results system, the judging procedure and the future upgrades of the competition program for Winter Universiades within these very exciting disciplines. FIS, just like FISU, points out that only a high-level collaboration between National Sports Federations and International Federations make an event successful. This meeting was very important to pursue the excellent collaboration that FISU already had with FIS in the past.
