All Heilongjiang’s 38 million citizens including Harbin’s 4 million people are attaching a lot of importance to work as the host of the 24th Winter Universiade.’
Counting down the days to the 2009 Winter Universiade
Ten days ago, the Harbin OC held the ‘One Year Count Down Ceremony’, to commemorate this ‘a counting-down board was erected at the centre square of Harbin to tell the citizens how much time is left, to encourage them in their work and therefore to lay a solid foundation for a successful staging of the Winter Universiade’, Mr. Du explained. With the strong support of the Central Government, Heilongjiang Province and Harbin City are investing their full strength on the preparation of the games.
