MA News: LTU Universiade Champions Awarded by the President of the Republic

Champions, prize winners and other officials with H.E. Mr. Valdas Adamkus, President of the Republic of Lithuania after the ceremony in the President's Office
H.E. Mr. Valdas Adamkus, President of the Republic of Lithuania attended the ceremony for the Lithuania sportsmen's accolade. Welcoming all guests, the President pointed out, that this year the student-athletes of Lithuania obtained many beautiful and honourable victories at the Summer Universiade in bangkok, Thailand. For their aspiring victories in the Bangkok Universiade Viktorija Zemaityte, heptathlon gold medallist at the Bangkok Universiade and Ceslovas Garbaliauskas, the President of Lithuanian student’s sports association were awarded the Order for Merits for sports. The President’s commemorative medals and honourable mentions were given to the other sportsmen and women.
