Member Association News: SUI Announces Head of Delegation for Harbin 2009

The Swiss University Sports Federation (SHSV) has determined the Head of delegation for the Winter Universiade 2009 in Harbin (China). Erich Hanselmann will be the new skipper of the Swiss. Hanselmann, a former PE teacher was employed by the Federal Bureau for Sport and Swiss Olympic Association until his retirement at the end of last year. "Erich Hanselmann knows the Swiss sports scene on all levels and has very good connections to the Swiss Sports Organizations due to his professional activities“, commented SHSV manager, Leonz Eder, on the board’s decision from September 11th, 2007. Delegation leader assistants are, as previously at the Winter Universiade 2007 in Torino, the two university sports teachers Fredi Schneider and Daniela Erni. The former Head of delegation, Kurt Hartmeier-Stamm, will concentrate on the future activity of the Swiss University Sports Foundation.
