CIC and CESU Meeting at FISU HQ

From January 18th to 20th, the International Control Committee (CIC) and the Committee for the Study of University Sports (CESU) will meet for a working session at the FISU Headquarters in Brussels.
The agenda of the CESU meeting is as follows: January 18th • Welcome words by Eric Saintrond, FISU Secretary-General • Welcome words by Claude-Louis Gallien, CESU Chair • Approval of the Agenda • Presentation of the Members of the Commission • Presentation of the tasks of CESU • State of art of the FISU Educational events for the years 2008 and 2009 • Perspectives for 2009 to 2011 • Preparation of the meetings with the delegation of the University of Belgrade for the Rector’s Forum and the Conference and the delegation Organising Committee of the 9th FISU Forum. January 19th • FISU Rector’s Forum 2008 / FISU Conference 2009 – University of Belgrade Working Session with the delegates of the Belgrade University, Rector, Mr. Branko KOVACEVIC and Vice-Rector, prof. Aleksandar Sedmak • 2008 Forum: Krakow Working Session with the delegate of Organising Committee of the 9th FISU Forum, Mr. Andrzej Olszewski - AZS Main Board office January 20th • Debriefing of the workings sessions • Allocation of the tasks to the members • Miscellaneous
The CIC-members travelling to Brussels will be the CIC Chair Omar Al-Hai (UAE), Vice-Chairs Louis Nel ( RSA) and Eduardo Ramirez-Lenci (PER) and CIC Secretary Fernand Bottelberghs (BEL). During their meeting they will consider the following topics: - CIC Strategy regarding the 2008 WUC - Draw up a chart for the 2008 WUC - Draw up a chart for the 2009 WU - Review Identity Cards for FISU events participants - Draft policy recommendations for CIC - Update CIC accreditation guidelines - Preparation seminar new CIC members
