FISU President George Killian and FISU Secretary-General Eric Saintrond travelled to Kazan, Russia to attend the ceremony of the official signature of the attribution contract for the 2013 Summer Universiade. It goes without say that it was an outstanding ceremony with a lot of high placed Russian dignitaries such as First Deputy-Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mr. Igor Shuvalov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mr. Mintimer Shaimiev, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Russia Mrs. Elvira Nabiullina, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Mr. Rustam Minnnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Mr. Ilsur Metshin and President of the Russian Student Sport Union Mr. Oleg Matystsin.
