FISU Staff Member Visits USSA

Thomas P. Rosandich and Kolë Gjeloshaj

On September 10th, Kolë Gjeloshaj FISU Director of Educational and Development Services was on the campus of the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama. The Academy is also known as the America’s Sports University. He was welcomed by Dr. Thomas P. Rosandich the President of USSA, who explained him the international developments of the institution he created in 1972. Kolë Gjeloshaj met with Dr. T.J Rosandich the Vice-President and Mr. Mark Stevens Director of Communication, in order to better understands the activities of the only university in the USA teaching only sport. The specificity of the university is to provide almost only distance-learning programs from the bachelor degree up to the PhD in Education. Currently 200 persons are registered in the PhD programme and 800 in the Master degree. The meetings were followed by a visit to the sport art museum. As a member of the IOC Commission for Culture and Olympic Education, Mr. Thomas P. Rosandich, pays a particular attention in developing the museum.
