2008 WUC Women's Futsal: Day 4

CHN vs. IRI
Yesterday’s results of the quarter finals are proof of the earnest of the competition especially for those teams who battled to the last minute in the game to qualify for the semi-finals. However, the determining factor of the victory is without doubt the physical fitness of the players. Indeed, playing five high level games in six day is very demanding.
Mr. Pedro Dias and the other CISCA members had the pleasure to meet the Mayor of Vitoria, Mr. João Coser, who came to support Team Brazil. Mr. Dias thanked the Mayor for his support and swift collaboration which contributed to the success of the inaugural edition of this World University Championship. Mayor Coser invited the CISCA Chair to visit a new sports complex which is still under construction to demonstrate the dynamism of his city regarding sports.
The CBDU team in charge of the WUC operates in a very professional way. It is clear that they have a lot experience in organising big sporting events. The team of OC President Roberto Maldonado receive a lot of appraisal by the participants. The WUC is broadcast live on to TV channels, one of them being national.
