FISU President Killian in Brussels

This week, FISU President George E. Killian was present in the FISU Headquarters in Brussels for a working session with FISU Secretary-General Eric Saintrond. He was joined by Danzandorj Bayasgalan, the FISU Treasurer and William Hybl, Chair of the FISU Legal Committee. On Wednesday, January 9th, Stefan Bergh, FISU Vice-President met with the President and the FISU Staff. He travelled to the FISU HQ to prepare the meeting of the Development Committee which will take place in Harbin, China in February. This new Committee will co-ordinate the development of the Continental University Sport Organisations and consists of the Presidents of the Continental Associations and a number of members of the FISU Executive Board.

Mr. Bergh also discussed his visit to American Samoa, prior to the meeting in Harbin. In Samoa he will meet the delegates of the NUSFs of Oceania, the sole continent without a Continental Association. The Development Committee will help these NUSFs with the constitution of such an organisation to strengthen the University Sport and FISU in that region. On his travel to Samoa, Mr. Bergh will be joined by FISU EC members Odell and Zhang as well as FISU Staff member Kole Gjeloshaj.
