2011 Winter Universiade: FISU President Meets Slovenian PM

On November 9th, Mr. George E. Killian the FISU President and Mr. Otman Kugovnik Slovenian FNSU President met with Janez Jansa, Prime Minister of Slovenia in his office in Lubljana. Amongst many other subjects discussed it was also for the premier the opportunity to remind the commitments taken by the government regarding the bid of the city of Maribor for the 2011 Winter Games. Mr. Killian and Mr. Kugovnik accompanied by Matjaz Pecovnik, Secretary General of SUSA and EUSA and Kolë Gjeloshaj from the FISU Secretariat had also the opportunity to meet Mr. Milan Zver, Minister of Sports and Education who will lead the Slovenian delegation in Torino next week at the occasion of the announcement of the winners of the bid for the 2011 Universiades that will take place on January 16th.
